Winter is coming…HALO.com is ready. Are your clients and employees? Make sure they’re covered with an emergency car kit for winter. Winter can be tough. Whether getting caught in an unexpected snowstorm or traveling in subzero temperatures, winter weather drivers need to be prepared. Giving your clients or employees an emergency car kit for winter shows you care, and can even save lives.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, I’ve faced my fair share of winter weather mishaps. I’ve had my car towed out of a snow bank, “scraped” the snow off my windshield with my hand, fishtailed through ice laden streets…you get the picture.

Luckily, my dad’s still looking out. He reminds me every year to put together my emergency car kit for winter. This time I got text to remind me how to prepare.

Sending a simple reminder of the ways your clients and prospects can stay safe this season can go a long way. Think about the services my dad outlined. This is your opportunity to remind clients how you can help this winter. Combine your reminder with one of our auto accessories or create an entire kit with our guide to building an emergency car kit for winter. They’ll be sure to thank you with their business and loyalty.

Emergency Car Kit for Winter Must-Haves:

Create a kit or gift a single item. Here’s what they need to stay safe during their drive.

  • Hat & Gloves

Take it from Tiffany: I don’t recommend using your hand as a human snow brush/scraper. The minutes feel like hours…and there’s no sense in enduring the burn of momentarily frost bitten fingers (you need them to drive).

  • Spare Set of Warm Clothes:

Take it from Tiffany: My dad recommends an old coat— his old puffy coat has been my standby — the one that makes me look like the abominable snowman circa 1980. Let’s just say I wouldn’t mind an upgrade.

  • Small Shovel

Take it from Tiffany: I really could have used one of those the winter I got snowed in my DeKalb, Illinois apartment. I also do not recommend using a baking sheet to dig your car out of your parking spot (true story).

Take it from Tiffany: If I were you, I’d opt for the Chenille Blanket. It’s am-a-zing and I’d take it anywhere. The only risk you run with this warm blanket is facing an adult Linus (Charlie Brown, you peanuts) carrying it around everywhere they go rather than leaving it safely stowed in the trunk of their car.

  • Flashlight

I keep one in my trunk all year. The Garrity® Multi-Function Auto Emergency Flashlight would get them spotted if they’re stranded. Or, get a Hand-Powered Flashlight so batteries aren’t an issue.

  • Tire Gauge

Another father-approved car kit must-have; I keep one in my trunk all year. He’s so proud he’s taught his daughter How To: 1) Check the air pressure in my tires. 2) Check the oil (although I really need to do that more often). 3) Call AAA when all else fails…

What Businesses can benefit from Sending Personalized Car Accessories?

  • Any employer located in snowy areas
  • Car insurance companies
  • Mechanics
  • Gas stations
  • Auto dealerships
  • Tire retailers
  • Rental car agencies

Send clients a personalized note coupled with a coupon and their winter car gift. They’ll thank you with their business and loyalty.
